In 2008, Tissot partners with FIBA (the International Basketball Federation). The alliance with such an international sport as basketball underlines the brand’s dynamic nature and its values of precision and performance. Tissot’s initial co-operation with FIBA starts in 2008. Tissot then further adds French star Tony Parker as one of its main brand ambassadors. The partnership underlines Tissot’s ever-growing commitment to basketball on a worldwide level.

2016 FIBA Qualifying Tournament

The FIBA Qualifying Tournament has come to an end and the last three spots for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games have been awarded. Tony Parker and his 26-point performance led his French team to grab the last opening on Sunday winning 83-74 over Canada in Manila. The other two teams to earn their place were Serbia and Croatia.

Mr. François Thiébaud, President of Tissot, had the honour of awarding the MVP, Paul Gasol, with the Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar and the All-Star Five that was composed of his team-mate Sergio Rodriguez, Lithuania's pair of Jonas Maciulis and Jonas Valanciunas and France's Nando de Colo, with the Tissot Luxury watch to congratulate them on their performances!
