Tissot, the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the NBA, is very happy to present its brand new Tissot Chrono XL Brooklyn Nets City Edition. This piece is very special as it is the very first time Tissot has created a watch for an individual NBA team. This watch is inspired by the Nets City Edition uniform for the 2020-21 NBA season that were designed to honor the life and lasting legacy of the visionary from Kings County and Brooklyn-born artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The Impressive 45mm chronograph, is adorned with some very fine details on the three counters that are a nod to the colors found within the Nets’ City Edition uniform. The dusky dial allows a clear visibility of the white indexes and includes a crown, evocative of the world-renowned crown found in much of Basquiat’s artwork, along with the letter “B” to symbolize the artist.

Brooklyn has long been a creative hotbed where art, fashion, literature, social activism and sports intersect and the Nets’ City Edition uniforms are made to honor a revered Brooklynite who blended text and image throughout his iconic works, and in so doing illuminated important themes and issues that continue to resonate today. The uniform mixes authentic details and some of the most notable elements of Basquiat’s artwork.

To enhance the urban style of the watch, the steel case is coated with an antique style PVD. For this special edition, Tissot engraved on the back of the watch the official Brooklyn Nets logo. The Tissot Chrono XL Brooklyn Nets City Edition is customizable, thanks to the two exchangeable straps that comes with the watch. Those who enjoy a very special design will wear the strap inspired by the city edition shirt, the others will choose the full black leather straps. Easy to change, no matter your mood, the strap can be changed in a few seconds. Brooklyn Nets aficionados will thus love the brand new Swiss Made chronograph.
