THE TISSOT F1 ENSIGN FROM 1973 CONQUERS THE BERNINA PASS AND WINS THE BERNINA GRAN TURISMO 2019

Bernina, Saturday 21st of September 2019. For the 5th edition of the BerninaGT, Tissot, historical partner of Kessel Classic was proud to see the Formula 1 Ensign, driven by Ronnie Kessel, passing the finish line and winning the Bernina Gran Turismo.

Under the blue skies of the Engadin and surrounded by the magnificent Swiss Alps car enthusiasts could appreciate over 80 old-timer cars with their passionate drivers getting ready for a once in a lifetime experience. The 5.7 km long racetrack leading from La Rösa to the south side of the Bernina Pass counts over 50 bends, it goes without saying that both, spectators and participants, could feel the adrenaline and excitement during the race.

Ronnie Kessel, son of former Formula 1 driver Loris Kessel decided to attend this unique mountain race with the Tissot Formula 1 Ensign. An unusual and challenging decision for this kind of mountain race, but which paid off completely. Accompanied by the roaring sound of his beautiful racecar, Ronnie Kessel passed the finish line as the winner of the Bernina GT, knowing that a dream just came true.
