Tissot, one of the most famous Swiss watch brands, has been named Official Timekeeper of the TOP 14, a tournament that sees the best rugby teams in France compete. The TOP 14 is one of the most watched annual rugby competitions, attracting top players from all over the rugby-playing world.

Tissot, who has been the Official Timekeeper of a number of rugby events in the past, was chosen for its expertise. Bringing its innovative spirit to the TOP 14, as it did to the RBS 6 Nations by synchonising the in-broadcast and in-stadium timing, Tissot will now develop new timing solutions for the TOP 14. As well as displaying the match time alongside the pitch at all TOP 14 games, new rules from the 2014/15 season mean that the goal-kicker only has one minute of preparation time before they must kick for goal. In order for the referee to validate this, Tissot will also provide a clock at the pitch side for this purpose. Tissot will also provide live on-screen match timing that will be broadcast in 170 countries.
