Reintroduced in 2024, the Tissot Ballade is a collection deeply rooted in Tissot’s approach to creating watches matching style and performance. The new Ballade COSC features a Powermatic 80 movement, officially recognized for its accuracy and reliability and now elevated with chronometer-certified performance. Its fluted bezel defines its identity, with finely cut ridges adding depth and character to the case. The Ballade COSC combines certified performance with sharp visual detailing — a watch that carries its precision with presence.

COSC
Tissot produces COSC-certified watches, which means they are approved stopwatches. This certificate is issued by the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute), which spends 15 days conducting a battery of extremely stringent tests on the movements to check their accuracy, anti-magnetism and resistance to impact.

Superluminova®
Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material called SuperLuminova®. This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark.

ACCESSORISATION
Most Tissot watches now feature an interchangeable strap system. The unique unlock system enables to easily remove the strap without the need of a tool. Interchangeable straps are the best way to personalise your watch: they offer a great choice of customisation for your timepiece, to suit any occasion in two simple clicks.

Water resistance
All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check. Tissot tests the watch's ability to resist impacts and pressure, as well as the penetration of liquids, gas and dust by replicating the real-life conditions in which the watch may find itself.
