Technical specificities

In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model distinguished by a slim case, narrow hour-markers and a steel bracelet. Its wide horizontal lugs, typical of the time, were perfectly integrated into the flat tonneau-shaped case. A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". Its flexibility and suppleness make it a real success in terms of ergonomic design, and provide exceptional comfort. The satin-finish on the outside is just as meticulous as the polish on the inside. The hands of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 steel & 18-carat gold are coated with SuperLumiNova® . This brings the dial closer to the watch crystal. The optical effect achieved by Tissot's designers makes the watch case appear even flatter and thinner than it actually is. The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 steel & 18-carat gold features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Its Swiss Made automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 80 hours is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, known for its excellent resistance to magnetic fields.

Powermatic 80
An automatic watch is powered by the energy of the person who wears it. Wrist movement enables the mechanism to run. The Powermatic 80 movement boasts 80 hours of power reserve, which is enough to continue telling time accurately even if the watch is not worn for three days. It is an innovative movement that outperforms the competition, whose movements generally provide 1.5 days of power reserve*. *Non-contractual image

Superluminova®
Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material we call SuperLuminova®. This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark*. *Non-contractual image

Accessorization
Tissot offers watches with an interchangeable strap system. The easy unlock system enables to remove the strap easily and quickly without the need of a tool. Interchangeable straps are the ultimate accessorisation. It offers greater choices to personalise your watch and to suit any occasion in two simple clicks*. *Non-contractual image

Water resistance
All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check. Tissot tests the watch's ability to resist impacts and pressure, as well as the penetration of liquids, gas and dust by replicating the real-life conditions in which the watch may find itself*. *Non-contractual image
