In order to carry out a detailed diagnosis of your watch, we invite you to send us your watch. To do so, please use our prepaid shipping box service; Customer Service section, Request FREE SHIPPING tab.
You will then be able to follow the progress of the service on our CIS platform. *Availability limited to certain countries.
Tissot sells its watches exclusively through its worldwide network of authorised retailers, whose addresses can be consulted in the Points of Sale section, as well as through its official Tissot Online Boutiques. Since 2014, our watches have been identifiable thanks to our ''WS'' (Watch-Secur) numbering system, which allows them to be identified and their warranty to be activated on our website.
If you have any doubts about the origin of your watch, you can contact our customer service via the contact form (Customer Service section, tab: ASK US A QUESTION) or see your nearest service centre in order to carry out a full analysis of your Tissot.
Our official website features all watches from the current Tissot collection. Some references might not be available on our website anymore but could be found and purchased through one of our official retailers.
Please note that some watch references are exclusive to some markets and cannot be purchased on all website versions.

Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced periodically to ensure it is working at its best. The frequency of servicing depends on the model, the climate and the care you give it. As a general rule, we recommend that you have your watch serviced every 4 to 5 years by a Tissot Authorised Service Centre.
We guarantee the availability of spare parts for a minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years for gold watches, from the date production of the watch ceases. If, for any reason, production of a particular spare part is stopped or postponed, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to offer an alternative solution to the customer. Thereafter, we will use our best endeavours to maintain collector's items.
All servicing of your watch must be carried out by one of our authorized service centers. Any service not carried out by an authorized service center will void the warranty. A complete list of service centers is available in the the Customer Service section, tab: find a service center.
Functioning of the watch
On a watch, a tachymeter is used to measure an average speed over a given distance. More precisely, it is a chronograph with a graduated scale on the dial or bezel, on which the speed can be measured in kilometres per hour based on a fixed distance of 1000 metres.
To use a tachymeter, only the central chronograph hand is used. Start the chronograph and stop it once the 1000 metres have been covered. You can then read the speed indicated on the dial by the central chronograph hand. Example: to calculate the speed of a car: the chronograph indicates that the distance of 1000 metres has been covered in 30 seconds. The central chronograph hand points to 120 on the tachymeter scale. The average speed over 1000 metres is therefore 120 kilometres per hour.
Both types of movement are mechanical, but they have to be wound in different ways. A hand-wound watch has to be wound every day by hand using the crown, while an automatic watch has an oscillating weight on the movement that winds the watch using wrist movements, hence the term "automatic".
There are two accepted ways of writing the number 4: IV and IIII. Various historical explanations coexist. In particular, we know that the IIII was used for more than 4 centuries, to avoid confusion between the IV and the VI, when the watch is upside down. Another theory explains that in the 16th and 17th centuries, the IIII was used to make it easier for people who couldn't read to tell the time. Or it may simply be an aesthetic choice, as the IIII balances well with the VIII opposite.
A watch bezel is a ring fitted to the case, which is often used to record additional data, such as the time of an event, or to read the time in a second time zone. A bidirectional bezel can be rotated in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. A unidirectional bezel, on the other hand, can only be rotated in one direction, to prevent it from being accidentally turned in the wrong direction, thereby distorting the measurements. For example, if you want to measure dive time, any incident or false manoeuvre can only reduce the limits initially set, and prevent the user from misinterpreting his air reserves or decompression time.
To use a unidirectional bezel for scuba diving, set the main marker (initially positioned at 12 o'clock) on the bezel to the planned end of dive time. When the minute hand reaches the main mark on the bezel, the planned dive time will have elapsed. For example, for a 30-minute dive started at 15:00: align the main marker on the bezel with 15:30 min (at 6:00) just before diving. The minute hand will need 30 minutes to reach the main mark on the bezel, thus indicating the remaining dive time.
Lightmaster technology
The watch's crystal captures the energy contained in light (natural or artificial) by means of solar cells (like a solar panel), which use this energy to power the movement.
This technology has long‑lasting reliability. Over time, the solar cell gradually loses efficiency, rather like any other device that wears out. It continues to work, but converts light into electricity a little less efficiently. This natural phenomenon, specific to solar technologies, is known as the Staebler-Wronski effect.
The grid visible under the crystal is the active photovoltaic layer, a technology that captures light and converts it into electrical energy. This electricity is used to power the watch and recharge its battery, thus keeping it running. However, for physical reasons, a solar cell cannot be totally transparent. The visible grid is therefore necessary for capturing light effectively, while leaving the remainder of the crystal transparent. This technological compromise allows solar energy to be embedded in an elegant, functional design.
This structure is both unobtrusive and high-performing: the solar cell provides good electrical efficiency, while remaining almost invisible no matter what angle it is viewed from.
It has a lifespan of between 10 and 15 years.
To charge a Tissot PRC100 Solar, you need to expose it to light. The level of charge will vary according to the nature and intensity of the light.
When fully charged, the watch can operate for up to 14 months without energy (i.e. light).
Your solar-powered watch is equipped with an E.O.E. (End of Energy) indicator. If the seconds hand jumps every 4 seconds, your watch needs exposing to light. At this stage, its power reserve is still around 18 hours.

Check that Bluetooth is active on both your watch and your phone. If data on the watch and on the app are different, it may be that synchronisation has not occurred. Synchronisation occurs automatically every 15 minutes.
If your app has stopped responding, you need to use the settings on your phone force the app to shut down. Then restart the app.
Your watch’s pedometer counts steps according to your wrist movements. When you are driving, particular movements might be counted in the same way as when you are walking (just as with any other model of connected watch). The calculation of these “extra steps” is built into the margin of error tolerated by your activity tracker.
Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly to ensure optimum functioning. The servicing frequency depends on the model, the climate and the care you take of it. As a general rule, we recommend that you have a service carried out every 4 to 5 years by a Tissot-certified service centre.
If you are not receiving notifications on your watch, check the following points:
- Check your watch is properly connected to your phone (Bluetooth icon displayed on the watch).
- Activate the “Notification” option in the watch settings.
- Check in your phone settings that the app has the necessary permissions to send notifications.
If you do not wish to manually reconnect your watch every morning, you can activate the \auto sleep\" mode.
T-Touch Function > Settings > System > Energy savings > Auto Sleep
When this mode is activated, the watch automatically enters the sleep mode when not worn for at least 2 hours.
Simply press one of the pushers to reactivate your watch and it will automatically reconnect to your phone.
When the watch is \"sleeping\", the hands are stopped and the display, backlight and Bluetooth® are switched off to save energy.
Some phones running on the Android operating system do not allow apps to launch tasks in the background (including the one that allows reconnection) without the user’s intervention.
Check that your watch is placed on the charger correctly (back of watch flat against the charger). When your watch is on the charger, a charging symbol appears on the watch. If you have checked all this and your watch is still not charging, please return it to us free of charge using our prepaid dispatch service.
Check that the watch’s Bluetooth (T-Touch touch zone) and the phone’s Bluetooth are both activated. If they are, check that the Time 1 time zone is “Phone” (the hands display the Time 1 time).
You can delete your account at any time using the mobile app settings. Your personal data are deleted immediately. When you delete your account, the phone automatically disconnects from the watch.
The connection between your watch and your phone is made via the Tissot app, thus enabling you to receive various notifications directly on your watch. It is perfectly possible to use your watch without connecting it to your phone, but these functions will not be available.
In your phone’s app store, search for the Tissot T-Connect app and install it. If it is not possible to perform this procedure, please contact our Customer Service department.
The watch’s battery life varies considerably depending on how the watch is used and its exposure to sunlight. In ideal conditions, the watch has a battery life of up to 6 months if connected and 10 years if used independently (without the app).
The watch is only in English at the moment. French, Italian, German, Spanish and Chinese will be available on the beginning of 2021.
Delete the T-Touch Connect app from your original phone, install it on the new one, and use your user ID and password to connect and recover your data.
The watch will update to firmware version 1.1.16 to improve and correct bugs for a better user experience.
Provided the watch is within range of the phone, it is not supposed to disconnect. However, when the watch is disconnected for more than 2 hours it turns off Bluetooth, which must then be reactivated manually.
To connect your phone to your T-Touch Connect Solar, please follow the various steps set out in our User Manual https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-ch//e-usermanual/t-touch_connect_solar
