Technical specifications

  • In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model that featured a slim case, narrow hour markers and a steel bracelet. Its wide horizontal lugs, typical of the time, were perfectly integrated into the flat tonneau-shaped case. A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The "X" stands for the Roman numeral ten and the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters at which the watch remains water-resistant. In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX, a modern interpretation of the previous model.

This new PRX has a 35 mm 316L stainless steel case. The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 steel & 18-carat gold is equipped with a fluted bezel in genuine 18-carat pink gold which - together with the indexes and hands in the same color - forms a beautiful contrast with the glacier-blue dial.

This PRX features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, as well as a transparent mineral glass caseback. The watch is fitted with a 316L stainless steel bracelet with quick-change system and butterfly folding clasp with pushers.

  • Powermatic 80

An automatic watch is powered by the energy of the person who wears it. Wrist movements enable the mechanism to run. The Powermatic 80 movement boasts 80 hours of power reserve, which is enough to continue telling time accurately even if the watch is not worn for three days. It is an innovative movement that outperforms the competition, whose movements generally provide 1.5 days of power reserve.

  • Superluminova®

Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material called SuperLuminova®. This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark.

  • Accessorization

Most Tissot watches now feature an interchangeable strap system. The unique unlock system enables to easily remove the strap without the need of a tool. Interchangeable straps are the best way to personalise your watch as they offer a great choice of customisation for your timepiece, to suit any occasion in two simple clicks.

  • Gold

Gold is one of the most precious and prized metals. It is renowned for its radiance and numerous technical properties: non-oxidising, insoluble, unalterable. Tissot uses 18-carat gold, a prestigious alloy comprising 75% pure gold combined with a mix of silver and copper, useful in gold production. Thanks to Tissot's expertise and craftsmanship, gold timepieces have unmatched longevity, generation after generation.
