In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model distinguished by a slim case, narrow hour-markers and a steel bracelet. Its wide horizontal lugs, typical of the time, were perfectly integrated into the flat tonneau-shaped case. A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The optical effect achieved by Tissot's designers makes the watch case appear even flatter and thinner than it actually is. The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 steel & 18-carat gold features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Its Swiss Made automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 80 hours is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, known for its excellent resistance to magnetic fields.
