Tissot Expands its Cycling Universe with the PR 100 Tour de France 2026 Special Edition and PR 100 Cycling Edition
For decades, Tissot has been closely intertwined with the world of cycling, a discipline defined by relentless challenges and split-second precision.
Even before formalising its role within the sport, the brand was already present in the peloton, rewarding cyclists as early as the 1960s, notably at the Mellaha Circuit in Tripoli and during the Six-Day Race in Madrid.
This connection became official in the late 1980s, when the brand was appointed Official Timekeeper of the Tour de France and the Grand Prix des Nations through a partnership with A.S.O., the organiser of the race, initially from 1988 to 1992. Strengthened once again in 2016, this partnership continues today.
In 1995, Tissot further expanded its presence in the sport by partnering with the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), becoming Official Timekeeper across multiple disciplines, including Road, Track, Mountain Bike, and BMX World Championships.
Building on this long-standing involvement in the sport and expressing its deep connection to cycling through timepieces, Tissot introduces the PR 100 Tour de France 2026 alongside the PR 100 Cycling Edition.
PR 100 Tour de France 2026 Special Edition: Made to Perform
The PR 100 Tour de France 2026 is informed by the demands of cycling, translating its requirements for legibility, resistance, and precise timekeeping into a watch conceived for those who follow the competition with unfaltering attention.
Housed in a 40 mm black PVD sandblasted case, the PR 100 Tour de France 2026 delivers a bold yet refined presence on the wrist. The sandblasted finish enhances its technical character, while the bezel engraved with the Tour de France branding grounds the watch firmly within the race’s identity. Protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the dial remains clear and legible in varying light conditions.
The dial features an asphalt-textured surface, referencing the environment in which the race unfolds. This distinctive finish is complemented by a pulsometer scale, underscoring the watch’s sporting orientation. A yellow-to-black gradient seconds hand introduces a dynamic visual detail, echoing the emblematic colours of the Tour de France.
Delivered with two interchangeable straps, the watch offers versatility across everyday situations, from active moments to more laid-back daily wear. The black-and-yellow textile strap emphasises its athletic character, while the full-black rubber strap provides a more discreet option for daily use, with a quick-change system enabling seamless transitions between the two.
Completing the experience, the watch is presented in a special Tour de France edition box, decorated in the race’s signature colours and featuring the mythical mountain passes that have shaped cycling history.
PR 100 Cycling Edition: Designed for Everyday Wear
Taking a step beyond the intensity of race day, the PR 100 Cycling Edition reinterprets cycling’s visual and technical codes, distilling the energy of the sport into contemporary timepieces for daily life.
Available in 34 mm and 40 mm sizes, the PR 100 Cycling Edition is conceived as a coherent duo, balancing sporting inspiration with a clean, fresh style. The dial is distinguished by an engraved bicycle chain-link motif, complemented by bicycle silhouettes on the flange, subtle references to cycling mechanics and constant motion. Framed by a pulsometer scale, it enables heart-rate measurement through a simple gesture, counting a few pulses as the seconds pass, seamlessly integrated into a watch designed to move naturally through everyday moments.
While sharing the same design language, the two sizes differ in expression: the 34 mm version features yellow-gold PVD accents on the hands and indexes, adding contrast and definition, while the 40 mm version adopts a fully silver-toned look for a more direct, sport-oriented aesthetic. A light grey and white fabric strap completes the look, adding a clean, modern, and chic finish.
Tissot Pinarello Special Edition: A Convergence of Craft and Speed
Rooted in this established role at the heart of cycling timekeeping, Tissot enriches its engagement with the sport through a natural convergence with Pinarello, a benchmark in performance and innovation within the cycling world. Developed in collaboration with the brand, the Tissot Pinarello Special Edition brings together Swiss watchmaking expertise and Italian performance engineering.
Its design draws directly from Pinarello’s racing DNA, with a forged carbon case and an asymmetric profile inspired by the brand’s technical approach to bike construction. The result is a timepiece that translates the spirit of cycling through material and form, balancing technical performance with everyday wearability.
Cycling Celebrated
Across decades of involvement, from major international competitions to technical collaborations, the brand has remained closely aligned with the evolving realities of cycling. This sustained presence reflects a clear and consistent position within the sport, shaped by both its precision and its intensity.
This continuity finds expression in the PR 100 Tour de France 2026 Special Edition, the PR 100 Cycling Edition, and the Tissot Pinarello Special Edition, each reflecting a distinct dimension of cycling, from the constraints of competition to the rhythm of everyday movement.
Together, these timepieces outline a coherent approach, where the culture of cycling is interpreted through design, material, and attention to detail, in watches made to accompany the sport and extend beyond it.
